This week, Ms. Carson, Mrs. Winters, and Mr. Sussman combined classes one day for a unique Humanities experience. During one period, students were given a "quickfire" challenge to answer the question: How big is Africa? During the second period, students were introduced to two new books, Ties That Bind, Ties That Break and The Dark Child, which they will be reading simultaneously, using literature to study Chinese and African culture.
